We just had a fun filled weekend in Park City with my family. The festivities began Thursday night when my brother flew in. Ryan has only met his cousin Payton a couple of times in his life. The last time they saw each other they were not quite 2. In spite of that they became fast friends and had a great time together. While we waited for the rest of my family to come into town we did a little geocaching around our house. If you don't know what that is it's like going on a treasure hunt using a GPS. So much fun!!! We found out that there are a ton right by our house on a walking trail.
Payton and Ryan with big apple smiles.
Dinner was on our own Friday night so since it was the weekend of our Anniversary and Father's day we took the kids to one of our favorite restaurants in Park City, Bandits. A little pricey but oh the food was soooo good.
We did a lot of swimming, playing at the park and did more geocaching.
Some cool sculptures along the trail.
We did family pictures with my family Sunday morning. I will post those pictures when I get them. My sister-in-law was our photographer for the day, and did a great job. After the pictures the kids were hot and needed a little refreshment, so off to 7-11 we went.
Steve and I decided we needed a little alone time Sunday to celebrate 17 years together. We left the kids behind to swim with cousins while we went hiking. It was a perfect day for a hike. The night before we hiked the same trail with my family doing a night geocach. I think we have found a new hobby for our family.
More swimming.
Monday was our last day in Park City. Most of my family went to Lagoon for the day. We didn't feel like we could afford going there this year, so instead of Lagoon we did the Alpine Slide. The kids absolutely loved it. Ryan would have gone again and again if he could. Steve said Ryan laughed the whole way down.
It was a perfect weekend, we got to be with my family, celebrate fathers day and our anniversary all in one. That is usually how my family does things. Get as much into one weekend as possible. Now I need a nap.
