Thanksgiving to Now

Yes I am a little behind.  We all know how crazy this time of year is.  So now that Christmas is over I have a few minutes to sit down and catch up.
We had Thanksgiving with my family this year.  My brother, Todd and his family hosted it at their house.  We had lots of good food...of course and lots of fun being together.

Ryan made some cute Pilgrims at school.

What is Christmas without making gingerbread houses.  We all got our own side.  Well Steve and I shared a side.

Out of order picture.  Ogden Christmas Village.  We took the kids the Sunday before Christmas.

Jakob and Sara wanted to pick out the red and green m&m's one night and ended up separating all of them.  It kept them entertained for a while.

Jakob had a science fair project due.  We boiled different liquids to see which one would boil at a higher temperature, or something like that.

Jakob's Christmas band concert.

More Christmas Village.  It was a perfect night.  There were  a few people there but not terrible, and it really wasn't too cold.

Steve and Jakob went to the Hobbit and both LOVED it.

I had my annual girls night with my old roommates.  Dinner at Olive Garden and dessert with presents at Lee Ann's.  Love these girls.

Finale

Well what ended up being our final day at Disneyland we didn't do a whole lot.  Ryan still wasn't feeling well so he and I hung out in the hotel again.  Steve took the kids back to the park and I think they rode one ride.  They then waited in lines for Sara to see Merida and Rapunzel.

Jakob came back to the hotel because he didn't want to see any princesses.  Eventually Steve and Sara made their way back also.  Later Jakob, Sara and I went to find us a good spot for the Christmas Parade.  It was very cute, Sara was disappointed because none of the new princesses were in it, but other than that it was great.

We bought our souvenirs.  Ryan got this McQueen hat with Mickey ears.  Sara got one of the bears from Brave and a Rapunzel doll.  Jakob got Star Wars pins, t-shirt, and Storm trooper bank.  I picked out a Christmas ornament and a frame.

We had a snack of Mickey shaped Beignets oh my word they were so delicious.  They are like a doughnut, but better.  And the atmosphere.  They had jazz band playing where we were.  So much fun.

We watched the fireworks.  They castle was so pretty all decorated with Christmas lights

Our original plans were to get annual passes while we were there and go into the park on Friday.  But since Ryan was not really getting better we changed out minds about that.  We had another day paid for at the hotel so we hung out there for most of the morning.  Finally got Ryan to eat something and then went to see Disney's new movie, Wreck it Ralph.  It was a cute show.  That night we left the kids in the hotel and Steve and I went to Cheese Cake factory for dinner.  Oh my it was so good.  Can you tell by this point we were tired of dealing with a sick child so the picture taking slowed way down.

Saturday morning after another night of throwing up, we got up, packed our things and headed home.  We were supposed to stay in St. George that night but I just wanted to be home.  So finally at 11:00 that night we walked through our door.  I was sooooo happy to be home.  I'm glad we were able to go and we have some great memories.  And what is life without a few bumps in the road.

Day 3

What to say about day 3.  While we were eating breakfast that morning Ryan started complaining that his stomach hurt.  Red Flag.  I kept asking him if he was going to throw up and he told me no.  So we headed over to Disneyland.

We saw Mary Poppins.

Had to ride "Jimmy Neutron" or so Ryan calls it.  It's really Astro Orbitor.  Also Ryan's favorite ride.

We had to go on Star Tours... again.  Ryan's tummy still wasn't feeling to hot but he wanted to keep going.

We split up for a little while.  Ryan and I went on Nemo again while the big kids went on Matterhorn.

We met back up to watch Jedi training academy.

Took the train over to Pirates.

Big Thunder Mountain.

We got a little lost, but found Jessi...

Minnie...

And Santa!

After this shot we headed back to the hotel for lunch.

As soon as we walked in the door Ryan threw up.  I wasn't feeling to hot myself, so after lunch I stayed with Ryan while Steve, Jakob and Sara went back.

They got to play and meet Wreck it Ralph.

They ate at the Pacific Wharf Cafe.  Jakob loved his salad.

A day at Disneyland wouldn't be complete without a treat.  Sara had chocolate covered marshmallow and Jakob had mint fudge.

Day 2

Day 2 was by far our favorite day at Disneyland.  Well technically we were not in Disneyland we were in California Adventure.  We headed over early again so that we could hit the number one ride over there... Radiator Racers.  It did not disappoint.  This summer when the ride opened and still on really busy days you can wait up to 4 hours for this ride.  We walked in and headed right there went through the maze they have for all the rides and within 15 minutes we were racing away.  It was such a fun ride and needless to say Ryan was in HEAVEN!  It is amazing to me all the detail they put in to the rides and the things to look at while you are waiting in line for the rides.  That was half the fun looking at everything around you.

After Radiator Racers we headed to Matter's Junk Yard Jamboree.

We then went on my all time favorite ride...Sorrin' over California.  Love, Love, Love this ride.  And we didn't even have to wait, we just walked right on.

Little Mermaid.  It was fun and just like the movie.

Toy Story Mania.

Tower of Terror.  This was the first time for Sara and Ryan on this ride.  Sara loved it and Ryan says he is never going on it again.  He was such a good sport to go on the big kid rides.  He did like most of them in the end.

Monster's Inc.

Back to car's land and onto Luigi's Flying tires.

Car's land had so many places to take pictures we just couldn't stop.

Of course we had to visit McQueen and Matter.

DJ had a little show that Ryan Loved.

We ate dinner at Flo's that night.  They had really good food and the best view.

This was a cake inside Flo's.  Amazing.

Had to have a little cotton candy while waiting for the World of Color.  Yes it was amazing!  The show not the cotton candy.
