Flashback Friday
Here we are again with another fun flashback. Don't you love my hair cut. My sister cut my hair and was going for the Dorthy Hammel dew, I don't think it worked to well.

Our 13th Anniversary
This is not really a flashback Friday thing, but I wanted to post what we did for our anniversary this year. We went to Midway and stayed at the Johnson Mill Bed and Breakfast. It was such a beautiful place, so nice and peaceful. I loved the view from our room. I could have stayed there forever. Steve kept saying that it would make a great house. I would have to agree. The sign on the entrance of the place said, "Come and listen to the quiet." It totally described the place. We checked in, went to dinner and then straight back to the B & B. We wanted to walk around and see the grounds. It was such a relaxing trip and so nice to be with only Steve. We don't get to do things like this too often so it was very rejuvenating.

Happy Father's Day

I wanted to to a little tribute to the father of my children on this Father's Day. I talked to the kids this morning to come up with 10 reasons why they love their dad. Here are their 10.
1. He plays with us (Jakob)
2. He brings us presents from his trips. (Sara)
3. He makes us laugh.(Both)
4. He takes me to the movies. (Jakob)
5. He protects us. (Jakob)
6. He has strength and wisdom. (Sara)
7. He tells us funny stories. (Jakob)
9. He is nice. (Most of the time, Jakob)
10.He is a good provider. (Me)
Steve is a wonderful daddy and has so much fun with the kids. He is such a great help and support. I don't know what I would do without him. We love you daddy. Happy Father's Day!

Ryan and the Elephant
Steve brought home this elephant from India and Ryan loves to play with it. Anytime he sees it he points to it until we get it down for him. He seems to have a thing for elephants. The sound the elephant makes was his second sound that he learned (the first being an airplane). When we get it down he points to the eye and say's eye. It's pretty cute. Don't mind Ryan's bed head, I guess he just woke up when Steve took the picture.
Fun in the Sun
This weekend we have been watching Steve's sister's kids. They have been having a blast together. As they always do with their cousin's. Today while I was at work Steve set up the slip and slide for the kids and then put the sprinkler under the tramp. So here are a few pictures of their fun day outside.
Steve in India
Here are a few pictures of Steve's trip to India. He had a good time, but is glad to be home with us and to be in the clean US of A. The pictures are of the pool at his hotel, their form of transportation, some potato chips in a special India flavor, a Chinese fishing net, Steve and a canoe he saw on a hike they went on. On that same hike they saw a lot of monkey's, this one Steve kept saying look at me monkey but it kept looking down and would not look at him. The next is the waterfall they were hiking to, along the way they came across a playground and a slide that you could go down on either side, the last as you can see is a bus that says's super fast(just like in Little Einsteins they go super fast).

Flashback Friday
Here we are at the end of another Friday and I'm just posting my flashback. For this weeks flashback we are going back 13 years to June 17th 1995. The day Steve and I got married. It was a great day full of surprises. First being that it rained and we were suppose to have an outdoor reception. Didn't quite work that way. Second my aunt took our pictures. They just didn't turn out. Something was wrong with her camera, it advanced the film and she thought she took 5 rolls of pictures. But when we got the pictures back there was nothing on them. So all the pictures I have are one's that our families took with their camera's. We ended up with a lot of pictures but not any that look very professional. Other then those two things it was a great day and has been a great 13 years. I couldn't ask for a better husband. I'm so blessed to have Steve in my life.

Colorado
Well last week I took the kids to Colorado to see my friend Audra. It was about a 9 hour drive, and the kids did great. I was really worried about Ryan being in the car for that long, but it helped that he had Jakob and Sara there to keep him happy and fed. When we got there we went to Colorado Springs to the Garden of the Gods. It was a really neat place. The rock formations were a red rock that looked like it was shooting out from the ground. We got some good pictures, but Audra has them and has not sent them to me yet. As soon as I get them I will post them. We also went to the Denver zoo. It was really fun to be there with Ryan. He love's his animal books that I read him and so he really loved seeing the animals in real life. The best was when we were looking at the elephants. He was staring intently at them leaning forward in his stroller. Then a worker put some hay close to where we were. The elephant started walking over to us and as it got closer Ryan slowly moved back in his stroller. Looking to me and then back to the elephant, not sure he liked what was going on. It was quite funny. The rest of the time we were in Colorado we just hung out at Audra's house so the kids could play and Ryan could nap. It was a great trip and we all had fun. Oh yeah the reason why we went to Colorado was because Steve had a business trip to India. He left the same day we did and is getting back this afternoon. I'm so excited to have him home. I really don't like it when he goes so far away and for so long.

Flashback Friday
This weeks flashback Friday is dedicated to my sweet little Sara. Yesterday was her 7th birthday. How fast time flies. It just seems like yesterday that she was born. She was the best baby, always content and with a smile on her face. I am so blessed to be her mother. She is the sweetest daughter a mother could ask for. It makes me sad to watch her grow so fast.
