Basement Update

Our basement is finaly getting close to being done, after 9 long months. We just got done with the trim and hanging the doors. Next is paint. Hopefully that will be done next week. So in the not to far off future we will have the finished product to show off. Here is what it looks like as of now.

Flashback Friday- Get away

I don't know about you but I really don't like the month of January, well let's face it I don't like January through March. It is too cold to do anything outside and I don't like being couped up for these long winter months. I was thinking I need to get away and go somewhere warm. Since we are finishing the basement it is kind of hard to afford anything these days. So I will just remember when. This flashback Friday takes us back 14 years ago. My friend Audra and I took a trip to the Bahama's right before Christmas. It was a fun trip and what was nice was knowing we were it a beautiful warm place in the dead of winter.

They had the port all decorated for Christmas. It was fun being able to go around in shorts knowing it was Christmas time and cold back home.

We thought it would be fun to make a sand snow man.

Someday when I can I'm going to make sure and go some place warm during this time of year. Maybe I will become a sunbird and move to Arizona for the winter!

New Year's Eve!!!

We had so much fun on New Year's Eve. We had Roger, Becky, Jeni and Jason over. It was a fun filled night of good food, fun games and great friends.

The kids played on their DS's most of the night. They could link them together and race each other. Who needs board games.

Birthday Pictures

I know Ryan's birthday was almost 2 weeks ago. I'm a slacker. I have no excuse for not getting these on here sooner. So here you go. We had a fun day celebrating Ryan's 2nd birthday. We went to Arctic Circle for dinner. Mostly just so Ryan could play on the play ground then anything else and I refuse to go to McDonald's.

Some of his favorite movies are Nemo and Cars so that was our theme for the day.

We couldn't get him to smile for any of the pictures. He had only had an hour nap that day and was not in the best mood.

Not only could we not get him to smile it was hard to even get him to look at the camera. His present is Darth Vader's space ship. Steve has to start them young.
