Father Son camp out

Our ward had a father son campout at Willard on Friday. They had a fun time eating and playing. They had potato bar for dinner. Later that night they had a fireside. Right before the fireside it started getting really windy and cold. One of the men in the ward decided he had a good idea on how to warm up. He went to the cooler that had the left over hot potatoes in it and took a few out and held them in his pockets. Needless to say the hot potatoes kept everyone warm that night.

Park Days

We went to the park to play with some friends on Friday. While we were there this mangy looking cat came up to the playground. We told the kids not to play with it because it looked like it was a homeless kitten. It walked all over the playground and the kids followed it until it hissed at them. Then they all ran to the bench where we were sitting and wouldn't leave. It was quite funny that a little kitty could chase the kids away from playing. All in all it was a fun day.

Basement update

It is so fun to actually see some walls. If only the whole process would go this fast.

Ryan playing video games

Ryan loves to do whatever Jakob is doing. Steve gave Ryan an old x-box controller and he just stood looking at the tv with controller in hand the whole time Jakob was playing his game.

Finally Finishing our basement

We are so excited to finally have more room in our house. We have been waiting for this, it seems like forever. Steve's dad is framing in the basement this week. We spent the night last night shifting all of our junk from one half of the basement to the other. We'll keep you posted on the progress. Here are a few pictures of the cleaned out half.

I've been tagged

My friend Teri tagged me the other day. So now I will attempt to complete the tag.

What were you doing 10 years ago.
Well we were living in Ogden at Lindquist Mortuary. Steve was one of the on call people that would go and pick up the dead in the middle of the night. I was working at the Ogden Main branch of America First.

5 things on my to do list today.
Go to the grocery store
Walk on my tredmill (since it is still to cold to go outside)
Do this tag =)
Read my book
Do a load of laundry

6 snacks I enjoy
Chocolate
Chocolate
Chocolate
Chocolate
Chocolate
Oh and did I say chocolate

If I were suddenly a billionare, I would...
Pay off all of my debt, do some stuff like Oprah's Big give, I would share a little with family and friends =) Retire and travel the world with my family and friends.

5 places I have lived
Born in Washington(moved when I was 18 months old)
Lived in Salt Lake until I was 10
Moved to Mesa, Arizona for a year
Then moved to Burnsville, Minnesota until I graduated High School
Went to Rick's college in Rexburg, ID (Fun times)
Moved back to Utah (oh I guess that is six places)

5 jobs I have had
I worked for a guy who made signs for all kinds of different companies, worked in a Day Care center, waitressed at JB's, worked at Matrix for a month and hated every minute of it. Now I work at home and my side job at America First.

5 things people don't know about me
This will be a hard one to answer. I think all of you that will be reading this already know everything about me. But let's see what I can come up with.
I love to have a clean house, but I hate to clean it.
I don't do well with crowds. I would love to live in a small town that doesn't have a lot of people. But still not to far from civilization.
I love my children, love to watch them learn and grow.
When I was at Rick's I took a horse back riding class. It was so much fun to get to ride a horse every week. If I could I would live in the country and have a few.
I would love to be on the Amazing Race and travel the world. Winning the million dollars at the end would be a nice bonus.

Ok now I'm done. How did you all like that? I won't list anyone to be tagged but if you are reading this and you would like to answer all of these fun questions I would love to see your answers on your blogs. So I guess I'm tagging you all! =)

Say it ain't so, Sara

Sara was playing Rock Band the other day and didn't think anyone was watching her, (let alone recording her awesome performance). Her and Jakob both love playing this game. In fact, the whole family gets into it from time to time. Jakob and his Dad have a band they call "The Ryan Tamers". Kinda fitting because they can't play if Ryan is up walking around, (he wants to play the drums, and screams when he can't), so they have to put him up in his high chair, with some snacks, in order to "Tame" him.

Ryan got tagged

Ryan's cousin James Mason tagged him so now I get to tell you 10 things you don't know about him. Or maybe you do.

1. He is very fast on his feet. When ever he hears a door open he stops whatever he is doing and runs down the hall. We are always trying to dodge him and sneak into where we need to go.

2. Ryan loves to play on the drums. Jakob got Rock Band for his birthday, and we discovered Ryan's hidden talent. If we try to take away the drum sticks he freaks out.

3. He loves to eat graham crackers and nilla wafers, but we have to watch him because he will shove the whole thing into his mouth.

4. He loves his mommy. It can be good but also very bad!

5. Ryan is not a huge cuddler but if you happen to be the lucky one getting him up after a nap he will give you the best hugs ever.

6. The first sound he made was of the airplane. He has an airplane room so it is very fitting.

7. He is 15 months old and still wakes up at least once in the night.

8. Steve just taught him to say, "Go Jazz". He will pump his fist while he does it also. It's pretty dang cute.

9. Has a 6th sense of open doors.

10. Has a 7th sense of the toilet seat being up. Whenever all is quiet I just walk into my bathroom and find him playing away in the toilet. Oh that is so fun to find him there.

Making Bird Houses

For scouts this week the boys made bird houses. Steve went online and found a cute and easy bird house for the boys to make. I think they turned out really good.

Ryan's first doughnut

Of course we have to put another of Ryan's firsts.

No More Weeds

This week we have been working on one of my major stresses in life. We have an area in the back yard that we put in when we built the house so that someday we could put a shed there. Well the shed has not come and it just grows weeds. Every day I see the weeds out my window knowing I can't keep up with them and everything else. It was so ugly and I couldn't stand it. So this week we put down a weed barrier and bought some rock to cover it. Now I love looking out my kitchen window, and knowing I don't have to pull the stupid weeds out there!
