Ok so this post is about 2 weeks late. I know, I know I need to be better but what can I say. Well the week after our trip to Park City with my family we had Steve's family trip. This year his sister Julie was in charge and chose to go to Henry's Lake, which is up near Island Park and West Yellowstone. We had a blast and grateful to Julie for all the work she put into it. Our first day was spent packing the trailer and driving up there. It never fails we say a certain time we are going to leave and never can pull it off. This year we were shooting for 11:00am and we got on the road a little after 1:00pm. I guess we knew we weren't in a hurry and no one was waiting on us so it really didn't matter.

Day 2 we went into Yellowstone. I love going there it is always fun to see Old Faithful and all the Buffalo. Sara spotted 51 on the trip this year. It was cute, when we were paid to get into the park the ranger gave all 3 kids a paper with all the animals we would see in the park. As we drove along Sara watched carefully for each one and would mark on her paper the new count.

Day 3 we just hung around camp. Some of the family went to Quake Lake and some went back into Yellowstone. We decided with the crazy week we had before we needed a nice relaxing day with nothing to do. In the morning we did a pot luck breakfast. I don't know what it is but breakfast always tastes better when you are camping.

That afternoon the kids did crafts, played, and tie died T shirts.

We did dutch oven that night and right as we put the oven's on the coals it started poring rain. As you can see here they had to stand over the fire pits with umbrella's so the coals wouldn't get wet. Dinner did turn out and was so very good.

This is what I was doing while everyone was out in the rain making dinner. I tried for 2 hours to get Ryan down for a nap. He would not go and boy was he not happy. Finally he gave in and slept with me holding him for about a half hour. Everyone out side could here Ryan screaming in the trailer and kept asking Steve if Ryan was ok and if he got hurt. He just said nope that is just Ryan at his best!

This was on the way home on our last day. He was not the best sleeper while we were camping so this was a much needed nap. Don't you love the Oreo mustache?!
