East Canyon

We had our annual Niederhauser reunion a few weeks ago. This year was Scott and Carrie's turn to plan it, up at East Canyon. It was a great place with plenty of family bonding activities.
We did a little star gazing.

Roasted a few marshmallow's.

Enjoyed a warm fire on a cold night.

Played with a few cars. This is what these 2 did most of the time we were there.

Did a little miniature golfing,

Swimming,

and of course eating.

Couldn't have asked for a better time!!!

Sara's Birthday

Sara just celebrated her 10th birthday. Oh my. I can't believe my little girl is 10 already. She had a fun filled couple of days. We got to celebrate with our family and then with Steve's family later in the day. Since her birthday was on a Sunday we couldn't do go out to dinner that day so her birthday carried over into Monday. We went to our usual birthday restaurant, Pizza Factory and then off to Boondocks. Jakob and Sara got the unlimited passes while Ryan got to play all the games. It was a great night and we had the place to ourselves.

Catch Up

This post is one big catch up like I said in the title. I was trying to do it one post at a time but it was not happening. So here you go. The past month has been full of dance recital's, swimming lesson's, school program's, surgery's, Broadway musicals and elementary school graduation's.
First off I can not believe my oldest child has finished elementary school. It just seems like yesterday that he was starting kindergarten. Now in a few months he will be in JR high. Oh my! If you are thinking Jakob's head looks a little lop sidded it is. He wanted to make sure everyone at school remembered him. If this is how he does it so be it. He looks a little silly, but I think there are worse ways to get attention, so I let him do it.
This has been Jakob's teacher for the last 2 years. I have to say I love her. She is the best teacher the school has. She thinks outside the box and realizes there is more than one way to learn. She has such a good repor with her students and they all love her.
Steve and I were able to go see Les Miserables a few weeks ago. There is something about a live Broadway production that is so moving. I was brought to tears a few times but I have to say I was a little disappointed with some of the performer's this time around.
This year Sara learned all about Utah, and had to do a report on Beaver county. The whole 4th grade did a really cute program about Utah also.
Ryan finished pre-school the end of April this year, so since the older kids still had a month to go in school I decided to put him is swimming lessons. He absolutely loved it.
I was a little nervous about his teacher though. I shouldn't say this but when I first saw him I thought pedophile. The kids sure loved him and he was really cute with them. I did keep a close eye on him though! =)

Sorry if this grosses you out. Steve had to have his gallbladder out a few weeks ago. He had been having terrible stomach pains since the end of February. After a trip to the ER and a few regular doctor's appointments they finally figured out it was is gallbladder and it needed to come out. The doctor said it was a good thing they did take it out. The inside of your gallbladder is not suppose to be black and crusty like Steve's was. He is doing so much better now. Almost back to 100% normal.

Last but not least Sara had her end of the year dance recital. This girl loves to dance. She has so much fun, especially when it comes to the recital. She told me at the dress rehearsal that she was the only one in her class that was not nervous. Pretty good for someone who is very shy otherwise.
