Zoo

The week before school started we met up with our Niederhauser cousins for one last hurrah.  It was a perfect day.

If you look closely right above Ryan's head is a bald eagle.

Maughan Reunion, Lava Hot Springs

We did my family reunion in Idaho last summer.  The fun started out with a day at Lava Hot Springs.

Just up the road from Lava is Maughan road.  This road was named after my great grandpa Maughan and is where my dad grew up.  The land behind us is what my great grandpa and grandpa farmed.  It hasn't changed much in the last 100 years.

The next day we had a fun day bowling and miniature golfing.

Our last day as you can see the kids spend sliding down this fun hill, while the adults spent the afternoon eating!!

This is my favorite cousin Becky.  When we were younger we were inseparable.  Love her.  I love the traditions we have to spend a few days each summer with our families making great memories!!!

Manti Family Reunion

Last summer for our Niederhauser reunion we went to the Manti pageant.  We had such a great time and made some great memories.

The first night we met at the hotel most of the family was staying in to have tacos for dinner.

We had a great view of the temple.

Across the street was this dugout.  This is what the early pioneers lived in the first winter the settled in Manti.  Some of them would hold up to 20 people.  Not where I would want to live that is for sure.

We walked around town and had our first funnel cake EVER.  It did not disappoint!!!

Went back to the hotel and had s'mores.  Nothing like going on vacation.  All we do is eat!!!

The adults got up early and did a session in the temple.  I love this temple it is like going back in time 150 years.  Also this is where Steve and I got married.

We took the kids to eat at a local diner and tried pickadilly's for the first time.

Don't ask me how this happened but all the guys went exploring the sites of Manti while the girls took the kids swimming.  Oh well I think we all had fun anyways.

We went to dinner at a local church that night and had Manti's famous turkey!!!  Yummy.  Ryan had carrot cake for the first time and wanted to eat every ones after he finished his.

Then it was off to see the pageant.  Thanks Debbie and Mike for planning it.  It was a great reunion.
