Memorial Day

I love our memorial day tradition of meeting with our Niederhauser family to visit graves and having a picnic together.  We have done this most every year since Steve and I got married, it is so much fun to look back at our pictures of years past and seeing how our family has changed.

Colby LOVED his ice cream and wanted to save some for later.

Since we were in Logan I decided I wanted to finally see where my 5th Great Grandpa Peter Maughan was buried.  He was one of the first settlers in Cash Valley when the pioneers first came to Utah.  We grew up hearing stories about Peter and it was neat to find this monument to him.

We had a very long weekend.  The kids are a little tuckered out.  Before going to Logan we spent the weekend in Idaho with my family.

Stake Conference

A few weeks ago we had the chance to go down to the Conference Center in Salt Lake for our Stake Conference.  We are so blessed to be so close to the church headquarters and have the opportunity to go be in this beautiful building and listen to our church leaders.  After conference was over we walked all around the conference center and temple square.  I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

Just in case you were wondering... Ryan is flying.

Play's and Preschool Graduation's

This year Sara decided she wanted to be in a play instead of  doing dance.  There is a local theater group for kids that does weekly classes and at the end of the year they put on a play.  They did a verson of Tangeled this year, and since it was Sara's DREAM to be in Tangeled she just had to do it.  She had so much fun going to her classes and learning her lines, she even asked for extra parts.

This video is at the end of the play, her favorite part where they do a little dancing.

Today was Ryan's preschool program.  Oh it was too cute.  I know everyone thinks their child is the cutest, but I think mine really are the cutest!  They learned songs all year long and today they performed them for us.  They sang about the different holidays and countries.  Those kids were just so sweet and innocent.  Ryan got to be a little Swiss boy and wear lederhosen.  He wasn't too thrilled about that.  We tried telling him that Niederhauser's are from Switzerland and so it was really cool that he got to wear his little outfit and be like our ancestors.  He still wasn't too sure about it but he did it. Hope you enjoy this little clip of his program.

Mother's Day

I had a good Mother's Day this year just like all the previous ones.  It is so nice to have a day off, even if it is only once a year.  Although do we ever really get a full day off.  I am grateful to be a mother, eventhough someday's I just want to give up and quit my job of being mom; I wouldn't trade it for any other job out there.

Here are a few of my sweet gifts from my cute kids.  I love how excited the get when they had you their card.

Steve and I went out the night before to dinner and a movie.  Since it was for Mother's Day I got to choose the movie.  Of course we saw a romance... The Lucky One.  He says after that I owe him 20 guy shows.  Whatever, it wasn't that bad.  After our night out he hadn't picked up my presents yet so we went and did a little shopping.  I got to pick out my pretty flowes and my nice new doormat.

Of course we  had dinner with the Niederhauser crew and it was yummy as usual.

There is a new addition to the ever growing Niederhauser group.  Our niece Heidi just had her 1st little baby a few weeks ago and braved an outing to come and celebrate with her mom and grandma on the special day.  Nana is trying to figure out who that cute little baby is.

Yard work

A few weeks ago I did a little yard work.  There were a few plants in my front and back yard that I really wasn't liking...so I dug them up and planted some new ones.

I didn't like either of these.  The top one I just didn't like the shape, and you can tell by looking at the rose bush why I didn't like that one.  The grass finally took it over where I couldn't even get any out to make it look half decent.

I planted 2 of these bushes that will get about 3 feet tall and round and will attract butterflies.  I'm excited for that.

In the back I did a burning bush and 2 other plants I can't remember what they are called but I'm excited for all of them to grow and be pretty.
