Holy Cow!

Oh my sweet boy is now 12 years old. The years have gone by so fast. I remember a time when I couldn't wait for him to get to a point where he was not so dependant on me. Now I want him to stop growing and go back to that little boy. I couldn't ask for a better son. Anything I ask of him he will do with minimal grumbling. I don't know what I would do without him. I now am dependant on him. I love having a built in babysitter who is easily bribed with candy. Someone to run downstairs to get me a can of soup for dinner, unload the dishwasher, dust, and take out the garbage. Happy birthday Jakob. I would be lost without you.

The celebrating started a few days before his birthday at Grandma and Grandpa's.

The morning of his birthday. Breakfast in bed.

What birthday is complete without Lego's!

Dinner at the Pizza Factory. I guess this has become our birthday tradition. It seems we end up here for at least 3 out of our 5 birthdays each year.

My cute boys. Of course Ryan is not looking at the camera, again.

Jakob could have had a birthday party this year but he chose to go with the family to Boondocks. What a fun place. I was very impressed with how clean it was and really was not all that expensive. We were able to do a little bowling and Lazar tag.

We got Ryan this lovely sucker to keep him happy while we bowled. I worked for about 5 minutes.

Nothing like cake at 10:30 at night. By the time we got done with dinner and playing we didn't get home until 10:00 and I still had to make Jakob's cake. Then the cake was so hot in the middle it melted the candle's. Yumm!
