Erika and Porter's Wedding

Our niece Erika got married on Friday the 21st. It was a long but fun filled day. Starting off with us being late to the temple practically running through the halls to make it on time. We made it just after they started the ceremony but they still let us in. It was just a little embarrassing walking in after it had started. But it was great to be there to share in the beginning of their lives together. They are the cutest couple and are so happy.

I had to put this cute picture of my little stinker. We are waiting for Erika and Porter to come out of the temple.

Steve's brother Jeff. The Father of the Bride.

I think this is the only picture we got of the 2 of them together. This is practically all they were doing the whole day. I'm so sure. =)

I love this picture of Sara, Jakob and Ryan playing in the water.

Erika had all of the little cousins clear the plates at the reception. At the beginning of the reception there weren't a whole lot of people, so they would walk around and just hover over the people and took their plates as soon as they got done. It was so cute and Sara had so much fun.

Father Daughter dance. It was such a sweet dance. We were all crying watching them. Sara said to me later, "mom don't you think Erika will be sad not being able to live with her dad any more?" I asked if she will be sad when she gets married and can't live with her dad any more and with tears in her eyes she said yes shes would be. I know Steve will be very sad when his little girl is all grown up and married. It will be very hard on him.

We took this at the end of the reception. Ryan wasn't looking and I had my shoes off. Oh, well. It's really cute of Steve, Jakob and Sara.

Flashback Friday

Steve has been gone this week on business. Because he has been gone I've obviously been thinking about him and missing him a lot. So he has inspired my flashback Friday. Steve works for a company that has offices around the world and he works in their global networking dept. So he gets to travel the world. Something I hope I get to do with him someday. With his work he has been to Barcelona, Spain, Poland, Philippines, India, Malaysia, Texas, and a few other places I can't remember. This trip he has only been gone for 5 days, not too bad compared to some he when he was gone for 2 weeks. He only had to go to Lexington, Kentucky, not to far. I could actully call him when I wanted. The pictures I have posted here are from his trip to China in March of 2005. That has been his favorite trip so far.

Erika's Bridal Shower

Saturday we had a bridal shower for our niece Erika who is getting married on the 21st of this month. My sister-in-law Julie hosted the shower at her home. It was a lot of fun and she got some great things to start out her new life with Porter. We are so excited for them, they are such a cute couple.

Here Erika just got done with a game of questions about Porter. Everyone she got right she got a kitchen utensil and for everyone she got wrong she had to put a piece of bubble gum in her mouth. She has quite the wad there.

Erika just got done opening all of her gifts.

This is Steve's sister Julie, his mom and sister Carrie.

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween everyone. Hope you all and a fun and safe Halloween. Our week was pretty full of fun activities so we didn't get around to carving pumpkins until Friday. The kids had the day off school so it was a perfect time to carve them. Here they are just getting ready to begin. Steve came home early to help us since I wasn't much help with my injured thumb.

Here are Jakob and Sara getting ready to hit the town. You can see their finished jack-o-lantern's on the porch. Jakob's is a little covered up. Oops. I think both the kids and the pumpkins turned out pretty cute.

They were out for about 2 hours trick or treating and got quite the stash. Jakob wanted to eat all of his that night. No way was that happening.
