Science Fair

Oh the fun science fair project. Steve helped Sara this year, and I'm sooooo glad. I just don't do well with stuff like that. Steve came up with the idea and Sara loved it. They had a good time together testing the life of different batteries. Sara came home from school on Monday and says," Mom I won the science fair." I was shocked! Then I read her certificate she won an award for exceptional work. No she didn't win but in her eyes she did. Good job sweety!!!

Wedding

Steve's little brother Spencer got married last Friday. We are so happy for them and are glad to FINALLY have Lindsay as part of the family. Thanks for sharing the picture Julie.

Happy New Year!!!

We had the Poll's and half of the Steed's over for New Year's Eve. It was a fun night with good food, fun games and great friends. What a way to ring in the new year. I for one am very happy that 2011 is gone. I hope 2012 year will be a better one!

He's 5

A few days after Christmas my baby turned 5 years old. Where does the time go. I had to work that day so daddy was home with him and played with him all day. I had asked Ryan a few days before what he wanted for his birthday dinner. He said Pizza. Easy enough. The next question was if he wanted to go out to eat pizza or have his favorite Totinos. As you can see he chose Totinos. Very easy.

We gave him our gift that night and his present from Grandma Maughan.

Friday I was home so we did his birthday party that day. Of course we had to do Cars 2 this year. I keep wondering when he is going to get tired of Cars. I don't think it will be any time soon.

We just had a small party. I can't handle too many kids at once. Five was perfect. We played pin the stickers on McQueen, had a scavenger hunt, and throw the balls through the tire.
Opened presents
Had some cup cakes
Then the kids went down stairs to watch Cars 2 and play with the new toys.

Christmas

Once again Christmas has come and gone to quickly. Steve, Jakob and Sara went to Steve's parents house for our annual Christmas Eve party. The kids acted out the nativity and they exchanged gifts. All the while I was home dealing with...

Ryan and the pink throw up bucket. I felt so bad for the poor guy. He started early in the morning Christmas Eve and didn't stop until late in the afternoon of Christmas day. Not the best Christmas for him.

Since we finished the basement Santa brings Christmas down stairs. It doesn't look like much because the rest is upstairs and I forgot to take a picture of that. Oh well.

Ryan did ok long enough to open presents and then the throwing up began again.
