Anniversary

Today is our 14th Anniversary. Crazy huh. Man time goes by way too fast. I find myself saying that a lot on here but it really does. It feels like just yesterday that we were dating and having fun and now look at us old with 3 kids. Not much fun there. Just kidding life couldn't be better. To celebrate we went up to Park City for a little shopping and dinner. Steve hadn't bought clothes for a while and needless to say he won't have to buy any more for even a longer while! =) We went to eat at Bandits' on Main Street. As the sign says it's the best in the west BBQ.

We brought Ryan with us because we didn't want to burden our neighbor (who was watching the other 2) with our gimpy son. He did really well considering this was his second day without a nap. If you're wondering why Ryan's teeth are yellow it's because he just ate some chocolate. Not because we don't brush his teeth.

Not the best shot of us but I had to post it to document the day.

Yesterday Steve took the day off work also in celebration of our anniversary. We decided to take the kids on a hike up Adam's canyon. It was a perfect day and most of us had fun.
Ryan is the exception, and he was being carried.

Taking a breather on the way up.

This is the waterfall at the end of the hike and Jakob decided he wanted to see how cold it was.

Ryan had a major melt down on the way down. He was so upset he was taking chunks out of Steve's neck, crying for me to carry him. I didn't think I would be able to, but sure enough I hiked about half way down with him. I don't know how Steve did it going up. Man his Ryan heavy.

Here are some shots I thought I would throw in of Ryan's lovely cast he has to have on for 3 weeks.

Silly face on Ryan but still cute.

Broken Leg

Friday night Ryan broke his leg. Our first major tragedy on the tramp. Jakob and Ryan were jumping together and Jakob jumped a little to high. The Doctor said that a lot of broken bones on the trampoline come from older siblings jumping with younger ones. The force of the trampoline when it snaps back after the older one jumps is usually enough to break a bone on the younger sibling. The doctor also said usually it is by the knee, but not in Ryan's case, his is down by his ankle and he broke both bones. He is in pretty good spirits for the most part but wants me close by. He had a rough night last night, I don't know if it was worse for him or for us having to keep getting up with him. Ryan has a temporary cast for now until we can see an orthopedic doctor next week. Ahh the joys with children.

This one you can see it's broken near the top which is by his ankle.

This one you can see how both bones are broken.

Sara's Baptism

Sara's baptism was last Saturday, the day after her birthday. I've needed a week to recoup from the birthday party and the post baptism party. That is why I am just getting around to posting the pictures. It was a perfect day. My little Sara was so sweet and was so spoiled. Thank you everyone for the great gifts she was given and for being with us on her special day.

Happy Birthday Sara!!

Oh my goodness where does the time go. My little girl turned 8 today. I can not believe it, it was just yesterday that she was born. Now look at her.

I had my friend take her pictures in her dress I bought for her baptism. When we went to pick out the dress it was like getting a glimpse of the future and her trying on wedding dresses. Seriously I almost started crying in the dressing room. It will be here before I know it. I don't like how fast my children are growing.

I have a tradition of making my kids breakfast in bed on their birthdays. Can you tell we woke her up right as we were bringing in breakfast.

Then tonight we had a late night with 13 of her friends. They watched a movie and ate treats, opened presents, had cake and ice cream and danced. I think they all had fun, it was fun for me to watch and remember when I was their age.

Here they all are what a cute bunch of girls.

Gotta love the home made cake. Personally I do, I don't like the taste of store bought cakes even though they are prettier.
