A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to go to the Brigham City Open house with the kids. It is such a beautiful temple and I loved feeling the spirit that was there and sharing it with my children. Today we were able to go to the dedication of the temple. Walking out I asked Sara if she could feel the spirit there, she said not as much as when we were in the temple. I'm grateful for the opportunities we have to go to temple open houses and dedications and to teach our children how important temples are.

First Day of School
I know I'm a little behind but better late than never. I can't believe summer is over and school is back in session. Not only back in session but 2 weeks in.
I now have an 8th grader...
6th grader...
and as Ryan says it, " a no grader" since kindergarten is not a grade.
Heading in for the first time. I think we were both a little nervous.
We all survived and everyone is doing well. Well I get a little lonely sometimes but I'll be ok!
Family Pictures
This summer was the first time my whole family was together in 4 years. We made sure we took advantage of this once in every 4 years opportunity and took family pictures. Actually it's been longer than 4 years since we have had family pictures. Anyway. Here they are.
Amy and her family.
Todd
Danny
Tammy
Laura
John
Natalie
Everyone
Grandma, Grandpa, and grand kids
Parents and children
And this is what we really look and act like!!!

Uintas
My boys went on a little camping trip last weekend with Steve's dad, 2 of our brother's-in-law and one nephew. They hiked into the Unitas for a weekend of rain (I mean fun).
They hiked, and hiked and hiked a little more.
After about 8 hours of hiking they finally found a place to call home for the weekend.
Made a fire and had a little grub.
Jakob said it was the best steak he's ever had. I think he was just a little hungry.
He said the same thing about breakfast the next morning of eggs and crackers. Yep they had crackers for breakfast. When you don't have much room in your packs you come up with some interesting meals.
Time for a little fishing.
A little rain never hurt anyone... right? Oh I'm so glad I was not there.
A little more fishing in between rain storms.
They had to cook dinner in their tent, why you ask, because it was raining. Again.
Best instant potatoes and ramen EVER!
Heading home. It only took 4 hours to hike out.
Finally back to the cars. Despite all the rain they had a good time. They made some good memories and had lots of bonding time in the tent!!!
