Lion King

Steve and I were able to go see the Lion King the other night. Man was it amazing. I loved the costumes!!! I wish they would let us take pictures of them so you could see what they looked like. Instead you get to just see pictures of us standing in front of the signs.

Good Times

Over Labor Day weekend my brother John and my sister Natalie flew in from Oregon and Arizona so they could spend some time with our Grandma who isn't doing so well. Yes she is still around and she is not happy about it. She is so cute. She thinks that because she can't do anything for you she isn't any good to anyone, so she may as well not be here.

So since John and Natalie were here we decided it would be fun to go back to Idaho and be with all of my brother's and sister's. Well all except for Danny who is in MN. We had a blast hanging out together and taking turns going to visit Grandma.

Slow Down!!!

I can not believe that August is already over. I think the calendar lied to us. I don't think there were 31 days in August I think there was only one. That is how fast time seems to be going. We had a lot of exciting things happen this last month, as also not so exciting things (but I already talked about those).

I went on an overnighter with my college roommates up to Park City. What a great time we had. When I am with those girls there is never a dull moment. We stayed up late playing games, telling stories, and laughing. What is a trip to Park City without hitting the outlets. We spent the next day with the rest of Utah doing some back to school shopping. I am so grateful you girls are in my life. I don't know what I would do without you.

Cute friends!!

We finally got Ryan potty trained. What a great day that was. No more diapers for this household. It was a long time coming. Ryan has wanted to go to school for some time now and we told him in order to go to school you have to go on the big boy potty. He didn't care. We tried everything with him and nothing worked. One day Steve was home with him and somehow got him to go. He made this chart and he got some pretty good prizes for going pee pee on the the potty. I think today he got the number 2 part down!!! Happy Day! Oh the things we talk about when we have kids.

Here is his stash for going potty. Look at that grin!

Really, is it school time already. Usually I am celebrating when my kids go back to school. Not this year. I have so enjoyed having my kids home this summer. They were so much fun to have around and so much help. Ryan and I miss them terribly when they are in school.

Big day for this cute boy. He started preschool this year and boy was he excited to go. When I said good-bye he didn't even look back. He has gone 2 days already and absolutely loves it! See the bag Ryan is holding, I made it. I haven't done any sewing in a while and it wasn't' too hard but I did it with out a pattern. I thought it turned out pretty good. The school has to have bags like this for their papers and such. They are pretty old school there but I like it.

The first day of school they learned how to swing safely. They colored these great pictures to go along with what the learned. What an artist, huh. Just kidding. He loved his picture so I had to show it off.
Well that is it for August. Hopefully now that school is in time will slow down. I have a bad feeling that is never going to happen.
