Teenager

It is official. I am the mother of a teenager. AHHHHH!!!! I cannot believe I am that old or better yet I can't believe that Jakob is that old.

It just seem like yesterday that I had him and he was my sweet little first born.

Then all I did was blink and now look at him.

For his birthday all he wanted to do was see Star Wars in 3D. So Steve took him to the midnight show, since then next night his actual birthday he would be gone camping with the scouts. Down at Jordan Commons the had a party before the show started. So the boys headed down and had a great time.
They met a few of the characters from the movie.
That Chewbacca was pretty awesome looking.
They were able to play Lego Star Wars on the big screen. Needless to say Jakob was in Star Wars Heaven.

After getting home at 3:30 in the morning Jakob had to get up and go to school the next day. It was a very short night for him. For the kids birthday's I usually make them breakfast in bed but I didn't want to get up at 6:30 in the morning so we did a doughnut cake instead. Thanks for the idea Natalie! I think he liked it even more than breakfast in bed.

We went out to dinner for his birthday the day after since as I said he went camping the night of his birthday.
Steve had to get a picture of us devouring this to die for dessert. I'm sure it was a site watching all of us leaning over this practically inhaling it. It was a freshly baked, still warm cookie on the bottom covered in ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate and caramel. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Sunday we celebrated yet again with the rest of the family. I love birthday's and dragging them out for as long as possible. I love my boy!!! I'm so grateful and blessed to have him as my son.
